The Indian bamboo flute was the original wind instrument and they are still made in India in the same way today and played by children in the streets. Using a system called a Raj, everything they play is original.

The tin whistle and flageolet are essentially the same instrument.  All other wind instruments developed as modifications to this design.

These particular flutes are sourced from a Fairtrade supplier to ensure that the workers making them are paid fairly for their work

The bamboo barrel and wooden mouth piece give the flute a really soft, gentle and pleasant tone.

These ones are tuned to the key of A but easily play in the keys of both A and D

Unlike other retailers of these instruments: I put these flutes through a quality control system to ensure that the one you get is properly tuned.
